I have about 18 kids in my swine group.  I am trying to describe to them how to look for a good hog when looking for that good fair pig.  Any good pictures, websites or simple descriptions I can give them?  I am still learning my self, so I need some help.  Also, if anyone knows about the S.A.I.L.A. here in Arizona, regarding points earned, and jackpots, any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Foundation is the key ingredient if their is no foundation then you have nothing to stand on always evaluate livestock from the ground up. They need to be sound and square from top to bottom. Big boned and good sound jointed, pulled apart and wide based off of both ends, level designed, extended and cranked up at the base of their tail with tons of body and rib shape and soft and fresh in their design, big square hipped and topped. BALANCED is key to the current trend you may run into judges looking for that EXTREME hog and yes they stand out but in todays industry balance, freshness, and soundness, with tons of product are key to sucess.
