We weighed our hog last night...She's only at 188!!! We will be taking her next Sunday (Aug 6th) to our fair!!!
I've tried everything I know to help this hog to gain weight and thought we were well on our way to makeing it until this week, weather was really hot , I heard that this really made a difference in them eating.
So, now what do we do?? Is there ANYTHING that anyone knows of that I can do to make her gain this much weight (22 poounds)??
Like I said before, we're feeding her the Showtec Developer, Fastfuel, Moorfat, goat milk and calf milk...she don't eat as much feed as we would like.
She's a Blueback, long lean, good muscle tone, she's really pretty...just got to find something that will make her eat, gain FAST!!
We've tried the Wet Molasses, she don't like that, Vitiamin D Milk, she don't like that either, Bread..she'll eat it but not with milk..bought some stuff for PBS livestock..that didn't work either...you name it so far we've done it.
I need replies as soon as possible!! There has to be something out there that I can do for her!!!! She has to make 210 or my Son don't get to sell her in the ring, he'll get to show but that's all. We've worked WAY to hard and long hours with this hog, we've got to make it to the "sell ring"
