When we felt of it last night he was in a lot of pain for 10-15 minutes later. It was like he kept trying to retract the testical and could not then he would almost fall over, it looked like the pain would parilize his back end? Any suggestions?

sounds like possibly a rupture or other injury ? Is he running with other rams ? if so seperate him for a time . possible that another ram hit him ? we had a ram that happened to and the symptoms sound the same. his testicle never returned to normal size and caused him to go sterile. hope yours turns out better .

we had a ram with a messed up testicle, one larger than the other. this was a yearling ram that was let into the pasture with the herd and an aged ram. the aged ram must of fought with it. I took it to the vet, he wanted to remove the one testicle and explained it also had a hernia. we just took it home and it did not make it.
